REOS 006: Goppenstein & Brig stations in winter

At the head of the Rhône valley in southern Switzerland, the lines of the SBB and BLS come together in the town of Brig. The Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon Railway runs through the Lötschberg tunnel to Goppenstein from where it descends to Brig.

The film starts in Goppenstein with trains passing in severe winter weather. Some will stop; some will pass the camera at high speed. Passing through the stations of Hohtenn and Ausserberg, we arrive in Brig. The snowfall continues, as we view a variety of trains. The recordings were made in February 2000 using a digital camera.

Running time: 45 minutes. Original sound recordings, without any additional music or commentary.
