REOS 080: Interlaken stations West and East

In the summer of 2005 REOS visited the two stations at
Interlaken.
Interlaken West is a standard gauge through station used by
BLS and SBB services and is always very busy with tourists
from all over the world.
Interlaken East is a terminal station for the standard gauge line
from Spiez, and is also the terminus for narrow gauge lines from Luzern, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. Many tourists change trains here on through journeys to many destinations or on local excursions to sights such as the Jungfrau.
Trains liveries are a colourful with a mixture of old and new with trains from the Brunig – Zentralbahn, the Berner Oberland Bahnen, BLS ,SBB and an ICE I train in DB-AG livery can also
be seen.
